Abstract

In this proposal, I focus of a number of research projects which require considerable computational resources. These include an investigation of protein stability in different solvent environments, the modelling of protein unfolding pathways and folding intermediates, the development of validation protocols and the prediction of conformation and flexibility in oligonucleotides. With support form Silicon Graphics, I am requesting a major upgrade to my computer hardware in order to carry out both molecular simulations relevant to these areas and computational aspects of related experimental programmes.
