Abstract

Previous BBSRC/SEERAD funding under IGF and ExGen initiatives has established the JIC/Bristol (IACR)/SCRI consortium as a key grouping in the global development of Genomics resources and technologies for wheat and barley. The proposed project aims to facilitate maintenance of theses interactions between the consortium members for a 2 year period following the end of the IGF project, paralleling the timescale of the ExGen initiative to which a follow up application was only partly funded (SCRI component). The funding will allow two people from each group to meet once per year in each of the respective institutions to discuss progress and outline future potential collaborative interactions.
