Abstract
The process of solid phase dendrimer synthesis was developed as a method of enhancing bead loading as well as a practical method of dendrimer synthesis. This method unlike many others also allows for the very efficient synthesis of dendrimer conjugates. The project aims to exploit solid phase dendrimer methodology to find optimal dendrimer constructs for array presentation and to use multiple valency to enhance binding and to deliver or present multiple copies of active agents. The second approach is to use dendrimers to increase the sensitivity of screening methods in a variety of assays.
