Abstract

This project is to develop molecular probes (DNA and mRNA) to investigate the potential of micro-organisms to remediate cyanide and metal cyanide contaminated land. This approach will establish the basic technology for a generic approach using genetic probes and its value in evaluating and optimising the biodegradative potential of industrially polluted soils.
