Abstract

Funding is sought for a project to develop methods that will define the specificity towards inhibition of serine protease enzymes, using a screening approach based on constrained peptide libraries. These methods will allow existing or novel proteases to be quickly mapped in order to define their preferred specificities. The results will provide useful information concerning subsequent design of non-peptide based inhibitors.
