Abstract
It is proposed to explore the potential usefulness of B. megaterium cytochrome P450 BM3 in synthetic chemistry, by (a) examining its catalytic repertoire and substrate specificity using a carefully chosen range of substrates of potential synthetic interest, and (b) using mutagenesis to alter and extend its specificity.
