Abstract
This proposal aims to use sophisticated optical and scanning probe microscopy techniques to investigate, in situ and in real time, the immobilisation of proteins to transducer surfaces, develop novel orientated immobilisation techniques and the concept of chemical nano-imaging and assess the value of a range of new holographic geometries as sensing mechanisms for chemical and environmental analyses.
