Abstract
i) Investigate nitrile hydrolase action on selected nitriles; ii) attempt to isolate epoxide hydrolases; iii) investigate hydrolysis of enol esters; iv) research the reduction of carbon-carbon and carbon-nitrogen double bond systems; v) prepare optically active sulfoxides and enelactones (inter alia) using pure mono-oxygenases (in organic solvents); vi) investigate action of D-amino acid oxidases on pipecolic acid and analogues; vii) study the remote hydroxylation of N-(dinitrophenyl)-heterocycles; viii) isolate novel enzyme activities from selected extremophiles.
