Abstract
We propose to define the genotypic influence of two different families of cloned inositol phosphate kinases on pathways of phytic acid synthesis in Arabidopsis and potato. This will involve analysis of metabolic pathways and identification of intermediates. We seek also to define environmental factors which interact with genotype to regulate phytic acid synthesis.
