Abstract
The proposal will investigate the mechanism of action of selected drugs which mimic the antilipolytic action of insulin. Isolated adipocytes will be used as a model system and the effects of insulin and these compounds on the phosphorylation state, subcellular localisation and expressed activity of key target proteins will be studied, to give fuller understanding of the regulatory processes involved.
