Abstract

Compare structure-function relationships of light harvesting systems of oxyphotobacteria encoded by pcb and isiA genes. Biochemical and spectroscopic analyses combined with electron microscopy will reveal the organisation and regulation of Pcb and IsiA proteins in prochlorophytes (Prochloron, Prochlorothrix, Prochlorococcus), prochlorophyte-like (Acaryochloris, Fischerella) and cyanobacteria (Synechocystis).
