Abstract

The aim of this proposal is to (i) continue to improve our crystals on an RC/LH1 core complex so that we can use X-ray crystallography to determine its high-resolution structure, (ii) to use atomic force microscopy and near field optical microscopy to determine the supramolecule organisation of the antenna complexes in vivo, and (iii) to extend our functional studies on antenna complexes using advanced biophysical techniques such as single molecule and fs time resolved spectroscopy
