Abstract
Fast atom bombardment and electrospray mass spectrometry will be used to determine the primary structure of proteins of photosystem II and identify post-translational modifications, particularly those induced by illumination with a view to understanding the chemistry which underlies the role of such modifications in regulating PSII function and the selective photoinduced degradation of the D1 proteins.
