Abstract
1. To express various levels of tubulin in transformed maize cells. 2. To assess the levels of transgene expression and to determine if there are any effects on endogenous tubulin gene expression. 3. To test the transformation system by determining whether the mutant goosegrass alpha-tubulin can confer herbicide resistance on the transformed calli.
