Abstract
Techniques in mutagenesis, cellular and in vitro protein expression and protein chemistry will be used to help define: (i) the orientation, connectivity and interactions between the transmembrane segments of the 16 kD proton channel of the C-ATPase, (ii) key residues involved in the proton translocating mechanism and (iii) the effect and site of interaction of papilloma virus oncoproteins with 16 kD.
