Abstract
Systematic DNA sequencing is providing increasing amounts of information on the organisation of genes and other genetic information with genomes. Both informatic and experimental approaches are now being employed to determine the roles that newly discovered genes play through their action and interaction in the cell or organism. This project aims to develop an information management system that supports the integration, storage analysis and presentation of genomic and related data. The development of such a system will provide both improved support for molecular biologists seeking to exploit genomic data and a challenging trial application for recent data management and warehousing techniques. (Joint with grant BIF08775).
