Abstract
This project will use advanced natural language processing techniques to create a structured, searchable knowledge base of medicinal plants that will support research to identify new drug leads. The knowledge base will be made accessible to biological researchers via an easy-to-use searching and browsing interface. Automatic and semi-automatic techniques will be explored for creating taxonomies from this knowledge base to assist in the discovery of novel relationships between the data elements recorded therein.
