Abstract
This proposal aims to develop substrate searching facilities for the molecules in the Carbohydrate Structure Database. We propose 1) to develop our prototype graph- based approach to carbohydrate database searching; and 2) to combine this approach with that of our 3-D sidechain searching methods to allow the rapid searching of 3-D carbohydrate structures, which are becoming increasingly available form crystallography, NMR and energy calculations.
