Abstract
We have developed techniques for 3D visualisation of cells within plant embryos and meristems. We wish to adopt new hardware for high-speed interactive rendering of volumetric datasets and develop Amira software modules for improved segmentation and automatic mapping of cell features and connectivity. These maps will be exported, and used as a basis for dynamic modelling of meristem development. The same software platform will be used for visualisation of experimental data, building of models, and direct volumetric rendering of model dynamics.
