Abstract

The aim of this proposal is to (1) Finish our structure determination of the B800-850 antenna complex from Rps. acidophila, (2) Use this information to model the structure of other LH2 complexes, (3) To determine the structure of the B800-820 complex from Rps. acidophila, and (4) To begin site-directed mutagenesis studies of the B800-850 complex from Rps. acidophila and begin to try to crystallise an RC-LH1 'core' complex for structural studies.
