Abstract

Pirbright has developed a versatile toolbox composed of immunological reagents that underpin research into prevention and control of infectious diseases in livestock. This consists of a wide array of thoroughly characterised monoclonal antibodies and the sequence of regions of the genome that code for immune function. Through a web-based searchable database, we will provide these valuable resources for immunologists, academicians and other livestock industry professionals in LMICs for assessing vaccine responses and immune status of livestock species in the fight against major diseases. This unique set of resources and tools developed at the partner institutions will be made available to promote the economic development and welfare of livestock in LMICs
