Abstract

The primary beneficiaries of this deliverable will be researchers and their associated collaborators within Worldfish (CGIAR), the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust research centre, and CENICANA (Colombian Sugarcane Research Centre). Whilst these groups research a diverse set of organisms, the tools that can deliver impact through data sharing, analysis, and representation are extant and domain-agnostic. As such, we will use existing BBSRC-funded infrastructure to exploit, interrogate, and visualise complex sample-to-genotype-to-phenotype-to-environment data for population surveying and tracking outbreaks of invasive species or disease-causing agents, leading to prevention and/or intervention strategies in the ODA areas. The platforms developed at EI are both open source and publicly available, and are not restricted for reuse or modification by ODA countries. We will openly publish the databases that underpin our tools so that ODA countries will be able to freely access not only our infrastructures hosted at EI via the web, but also the underlying genomic information
