Abstract
The student project will focus on the application of gene expression technology for genetic analysis and livestock improvement, especially in combination with marked quantitative trait loci (QTL) and candidate genes. This combined approach may help to unravel thegenetic networks and interactions underlying the selected traits and quantify the potential, as well as the consequences, for genetic improvement.
