Abstract

PRRS is an important viral disease affecting many aspects of pig health and performance. The student will join a team at Roslin Institute and Sygen international investigating genetic variation of host resistance to this disease. The project will involve analysis of data that describes epidemic effects and data from a genome scan for resistance genes, and it will include assessment of thepractical consequences of resistance genes.
