Abstract

To manage a portfolio of research projects / grants investigating the molecular basis of TSE pathogenesis. To investigate the role of EDRF in TSE disease. To assess the diagnostic value of EDRF in vCJD and in BSE. To carry out transcriptomic and proteomic screens for genes differentially expressed as a result of TSE infections with particular emphasis on the haematopoietic system. To investigate the roles of differentially expressed genes in TSE pathogenesis
