Abstract
This project will explore modeling approaches to describe mechanisms and shape changes during development, in particular those related to tip growth (collaboration with Prof Liam Dolan). We will investigate the mathematics of shape and shape fluctuations and apply these developments to deliver integrative models of growth processes. This project brings together discrete transport mechanisms, image processing, fluid mechanics, elastomechanics and numerical algorithm development.
