Abstract

To objective of this project is to improve the understanding of raw material functionality and processing, primarily in relation to end use qualities of milling and bread-making to facilitate matching end users¿ requirements to appropriate raw material through targeted wheat breeding. This is being done by developing genome-wide genetic maps of three DH populations and carrying out QTL analysis using mapping and phenotypic data for specific UK baked products.
