Abstract
The CO gene acts to promote flowering of Arabidopsis and we previously isolated the gene. In this programme it will be investigated in which tissues CO acts to promote flowering and whether CO expression commits the plant to flower. The ED4 gene, which inhibits flowering , will be cloned by map based cloning.
