Abstract

The Arabidopsis genome is being sequenced by an international consortium of scientists from the EU, US and Japan. This complex large scale project requires careful management and integration of activities to be cost-effective and efficient. The EU component consists of an informatics centre and a group of sequencing labs, the activities of which need careful controlling. In addition the JIC is responsible for financial management of the EC
