Abstract
This RO within the UK CropNet focuses on comparative genome data within and between the member species (Arabidopsis, Barley, Brassicas, Cereals, Forage grasses and Potato). The comparative mapping database (ComapDB) will be developed further. Software, known as ARCADE, will be developed to facilitate database inter-connectivity between the single species (or related species) UK CropNet databases via ComapDB and the plant gene nomenclature database Mendel, as well as providing links to external public databases, both within the UK and overseas. Software components will be developed for the display and analysis of comparative genome data.
