Abstract
The teams at JIC and LARS will isolate the wheat homologues of the maize genes Vp1 and P and assess their utility in manipulating preharvest dormancy in wheat. The project will take advantage of the comparative mapping materials available at JIC to identify variation at syntenous locations in the wheat genome.
