Abstract
Pearl millet is an important crop in Cote D'Ivore, Burkina Faso and Niger. In this collaborative project we are working with a group in University Paris Sud to measure diversity in the West African crop and the potential of wild relatives as donors of useful genes, particularly downy mildew resistance. The project involves training in European laboratories for African students
