Abstract
The goals of this research are to characterise tip growth in Arabidopsis using a suite of mutants that have been identified in the lab. This lab has generated over mutant 500 lines with defects in root hair development. During this project we will determine how many genes are defined by these mutations. Selected alleles from each complementation group will be characterised phenotypically. These mutants will be mapped and a subset of the more interesting genes cloned.
