Abstract
Recently we described 65 kDa microtubule-associated protein which bundles microtubules in vitro. In this project we will examine the role of MAP 65 in the bundling of microtubules that naturally occurs during tracheary element formation. This will be studied in vitro in the Zinnia in vitro differentiation system. We will study gene expression patterns and possibly protein expression by proteomics.
