Abstract
The goals of this research is to understand the role of the SCHIZORHIZA gene in Arabidpopsis root development. This research will characterisae this role at a genetic level; this invovles a description of the mutant phenptype and analysis of marker gene expression in the mutant compared to wild type. The genes will be fine mapped and cloned if time permits.
