Abstract
This project proposes to build a minimal size binary Ti plasmid into which any combination of reported and selectable marker genes can be inserted, without limiting the use of an extensive multiple cloning site polylinker. A complete set of modified selectable marker and reporter genes will be provided. The Ti plasmid will be completely sequenced and tested in a number of plant species.
