Abstract

CSFV is able to antagonise the antiviral effects of interferon and prevent apoptosis. The aim of this project is increase understanding of the mechanisms by which CSFV is able to avoid innate immune responses. This knowledge will be valuable for the development of intervention strategies that seek to manipulate the host’s innate immune response to prevent the virus from initiating new infections.
