Abstract
This project will focus on the epidemiology of farm animal diseases, and in particular the development of models for the transmission of bluetongue virus; the development of models for the transmission of FMDV, including the impact of vaccination; the provision of statistical support on the use of diagnostic tests as part of post-outbreak surveillance for FMDV; and the epidemiology of TSEs, including work on flock-level risk factors for scrapie, including PrP genotype, and the spread of scrapie in Cyprus.
