Abstract

The objectives of the project are to characterise tropism and site of FMDV persistence in sheep during pregnancy and the postparturient period; assess length of persistence in dams and transmission kinetics to in-contact lambs; identify sites of persistence to establish robust and rapid diagnostic procedures.
