Abstract

1. To define the functional and structural development of the embryonic lung as a lymphoid organ 2. To determine the role of the lung in mounting effective humoral and cellular responses to antigens applied in ovo, including conventional live vaccine, experimental recombinant and peptide vaccines. 3. To determine the role of vaccine adjuvants, such as cytokines, in promoting early maturation of the lymphoid system of the lung.
