Abstract
Objectives: (1) To coordinate the development and use of diagnostic methods for bluetongue (BT) in EU Member States. (2) To assist in the identification of centres of BT infection in Member States. (3) To facilitate the provision of training and refresher courses for experts in BT diagnostics with a view to harmonising techniques throughout the Community. (4) To exchange information with the OIE designated world reference laboratory for BT especially in areas concerning global developments of the disease.
