Abstract

1. To test whether RCAS/RNAi can be used to develop hypotheses about the regulation of B-cell development, which we anticipate will lead to collaborative applications for external funding; 2. To study the enhancement of humoral response to an antigen in ruminants by covalent coupling to CD40L; 3. To define the functions of B7 and CD28 in immune responses of chickens, so that they can be used for assessment of methods to improve the activation of antigen-presenting cells by vaccine delivery systems; 4. To define the functional effects of signalling by the TNFSF and costimulatory signals to antigen-presenting cells using microarrays.
