Abstract
1. To complete the studies to define the CD4+ T cell epitopes in the E2 and NS3 proteins and to determine the extent to which they vary between different virus isolates. 2. To identify the cytokines produced by the BVDV-specific CD4+ T cells and their ability to provide help for antibody production. 3. To determine the he capacity of virus-specific CD4+ T cells to provide help for antibody production. 4. To identify proteins and epitopes recognised by BVDV-specific CD8+ T cells. 5. To determine whether additional BVDV structural proteins (E1, Erns and P7) are required for assembly and secretion of E2 in an immunogenic form from transfected cells.
