Abstract
The objectives of this project are: 1. To fulfil demands by several international experts, institutions and regulatory bodies concerning the proof of inactivation procedures with regard to the gelatin process 2. Reassure the general public and the industries using gelatin and its by-products that gelatin is safe under all circumstances 3. Produce data to carry out an updated risk assessment for gelatin and dicalcium-phosphate 4. Safeguard the use of slaughtering by-products by adding value and avoiding waste
