Abstract

Objective: Bacteriophages lytic for strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa will be isolated from the hospital environment. These will be used in trials to assess their value in disinfection of surfaces in hospital wards and theatres. This project also has the aim of liason with the Bacteriophage Institute in Tbilisi, Georgia and introducing them to the western scientific community.
