Abstract

1. To develop models of different dry cow therapeutic and prophylactic procedures with respect to the infection status of the gland at drying off. 2. To determine the efficacy of non- antibiotic dry cow prophylactic treatments. 3. To compare and contrast the treatments efficacy using economic models to determine the most effective regimen for the dairy industry and milk quality. 4. To develop mathematical models for mastitis control in dairy cows.
