Abstract
Absorption of prions to stainless steel. This contract is part of our collaboration with Chris Lowe in Cambridge aimed at understanding the factors that influence the binding (and retention) of prions and prion proteins to surgical grade stainless steel. The overall objective is to provide information and advice to the DoH on how to minimise the risk of TSE transmission via contaminated surgical instruments.
