Abstract
This project is investigating the possibility that TSE infection can be transmitted via blood transfusions using sheep as a model system. Blood taken from experimentally infected animals (scrapie or BSE) is being transfused into susceptible uninfected sheep which will be kept for lifespan and investigated for any sign of TSE infection.
