Abstract
The most scrapie-susceptible PrP genotype in sheep is VRQ/VRQ. In the NPU Cheviot flock, these animals develop natural scrapie at 2-3 years of age and in this project an attempt has been made to ¿clean up¿ the flock by lambing in disease free conditions.
