Abstract
Transmissions to mice are in progress from animals naturally or experimentally infected with TSEs to identify the TSE strains involved. The project also includes the selection, characterisation and biological cloning of TSEs from established isolates, by serial transmission in mice. Stocks of mouse-passaged TSE strains for use in other projects are also routinely generated in this project.
